ANTIQUE HOURGLASS FROM  XVI-XVII CENTURY, various hallmarks.
Old hourglass made of silver metal. As seen at the pictures, the base and the top of the hourglass show a handmade decoration containing what seems to be a four leaves clover shamrock in the center of another smaller stands. From the greater clover leaves, there are four arrows which could indicate or refer to the four cardinal points. Both boards also have the following hallmarks (see pictures, please): 1. the letters "CT" topped by a crown with three points. 2.  floral motif (lily?) hallmark 3. Hallmark containing an animal (lion?) rampant.

ESTIMATED AGE: we are not sure about how old this antique hourglass is, but we strongly believe that it could be dated from the late Sixteenth Century or from the  early Seventeenth Century.
