EXQUISITE 18K GOLD, DIAMONDS AND ENAMEL, VIRGIN MARY OVER CLOUDS, CIRCA 1880.
 
  Presented for your consideration, an EXQUISITE 18K GOLD, DIAMONDS AND ENAMEL of THE VIRGIN MARY standing OVER CLOUDS.
 As seen at the pictures, the frontal part of the locket has a masterfully handcrafted fire enamel depicting the delicate image of Virgin Mary standing over clouds with four cherubs.  The scene is surrounded by a black color tiny squares pattern which shows minor wear at  its lateral (please refer to the detailed pictues). At the feet of the Virgin Mary there are four (4) natural diamond chips that give off small sparkles to the scene.
The top of the locket is decorated with Victorian style curved motif holding the robust hanging ring. 
The back side shows a tiny ornated cartouche free of initials.

The Clouds: Represent the divine realm and Mary's celestial origin. They act as a bridge between the spiritual world and the earthly world.
The Illuminated Head (Halo/Aura): Symbolizes sanctity and divine grace. The rays of light identify her as "full of grace" and reflect the glory of God.
Standing Above Clouds: Refers to her Assumption into Heaven. It signifies that she has been elevated by God above the physical limitations of the world.
