VINTAGE MODERNIST / ART NOUVEAU IVORY LADY 18K GOLD & NATURAL DIAMOND, 1910
 
Presented here, a beautiful cameo-like oval hancarved piece made in ivory and decorated with a 18K white gold tiara depicting a central natural diamond, old double-rose cut, set in pavé style with grains. It measures 2.20mm diameter approx. 
As pictures show, there are some remains of old polychromy on the piece, especially arround the floral bouquet decorating the top part (see picstures, please).
The delicately hancarved lady with squinted eyes is wearing the 18K gold and diamond (removable) tiara from which seems to be hanging the extralong pearl necklace which is also rolled up her hand. Her dress shows the typical Modernist of Art Nouveau style from the begining of the 20th Century.
This beautiful handcarved ivory jewellery piece, most probably made in Barcelona (Spain)  is perfect to be mounted in a gold or silver mounting to be wear as a necklace medalion or as an impressive  Modernist brooch.
