ORIGINAL VETERAN WWI OMEGA TRANSITION/TRENCH WRIST WATCH, SCREW ON BEZEL CIRCA 1918

These kind of watches were the first ones to be wear on a wrist (instead of wearing pocket watches). Their movements are often small diameter pocket watches calibers. During WWI wrist watches started to be popular as they often fit military purposes better than pocket watches.

 

DIAL: Original white color enamel (porcelain) dial with beautiful black color arabig numbers. Dial is signed OMEGA at twelve. Subseconds dial placed at six. Original blue metal hands.  Dial is in excellent condition, no cracks, dings or hairlines, please refer to the pictures.
 

CASE:  original fine silver case, hallmarked inside both back covers. Case is fully signed and numbered by OMEGA WATCH Co inside its main back cover. Dust cover also hallmarked & numbered (see pics, please) 

 

Fixed spring lugs. Please, refer to the pictures.


MOVEMENT: original  mechanical with manual winding movement, OMEGA caliber 13" SOB.
 

WORKING ORDER: the watch is in runnig condition, keeping reasonable good time considering its age.

 

MEASURES: 36mm diameter not including its winding crown, 37.50mm WIDE, including its winding crown.

 

AGE:  1917-1918


BRACELET/STRAP:  12-13mm dark brown color vintage leather strap with silver tone buckle.
