ORIGINAL ANTIQUE VICTORIAN PERIOD EARRINGS IN 14K ROSE GOLD & NATURAL JET, FRANCE, CIRCA 1890.
 
Beautiful delicate Victorian period earrings made in 14K rose gold and natural jet. Because of their sober design and their noble materials, these are probably mourning earrings.
As seen at the pictures, these 14K rose gold earrings are (each) decorated with an oval -hape faceted natural Jet, black color, in which center there is a tiny six-pointed star. The  oval Jet gemstone is surrounded by an ornated bezel. The earrings bodies are also decorated with  classic leaves design at their bottom from which hang two tiny dangling gold drops. The French sometimes call these "dormeuse" ear wires, because they are so comfortable and secure one can sleep in them
 
These are a sober, elegant & wearable antique earrings, they feel very comfortable  to the earlobe. These earrings would make a great addition to any antique, Victorian or/and  mourning  jewelry collection.
 
MEASURES: each earring has a length of 31mm (from the top of its wire back to the bottom of its tiny pendant). The widest part of the earring measure 11mm.

ESTIMATED AGE:  circa 1890 Victorian period. Probably French.
