ANTIQUE VICTORIAN DANGLE EARRINGS 18K ROSE GOLD DIAMONDS DANGLING, C.1860

 

Beautiful sober early Victorian earrings crafted in 18K rose gold and decorated with natural diamonds. The earrings have  a graceful dangling movement. 

Each earring is decorated with six (6) natural diamonds: three (3) of them are pear shapped, with an approximate length of 5mm and a width (at their widest part) of 4mm.  The other three diamonds are round shapped, early rose and double-rose cut (see pictures, please) and they are placed in "decrescendo" proportions, suggesting a bunch of fruit or even a single flower. All diamonds are set in pavé style with fine silver grains (see pictures, please), as was thypical during this historical period.

These are a very wearable  earrings, they have a comfortable lightweight feel on the earlobe. These earrings would make a great addition to any vintage jewelry collection.

 

MEASURES: each earring has a length of 36mm. The widest point at the dangling part of the earring measures 10.50mm.

 

ESTIMATED AGE:  circa 1860, early Victorian period
