4494 ORIGINAL  EARLY VICTORIAN 18K GOLD & NATURAL DIAMONDS RING, C. 1860

  

Presented for your consideration, an antique 18K rose gold and natural diamonds ring, early Victorian period. The ring is decorated with a total of three (3) natural diamonds, old oval shaped, double- rose-cut (see pictures, please). The central diamond measures 4.50 X 3.50mm approx and the other two ones at its sides measure 3.00 X 2.50mm and 3.00 X 2.00mm approximately. All three natural diamonds and set in bezel style with six grains, each (see pictures, please).  The diamonds show an elegant grey color, the main one has also some soft-orange reflect.

 

The ring is made in 18K solid rose gold,  it has no visible hallmarks so therefore it has been professionally acid-tested. 

As pictures show, the top part of the ring is also decorated with a subtle and sober thin black color enamel line, so it could suggest that this is probably a mourning ring  Please refer to the pictures, they speak by themselves.

 

The ring comes in an antique olive-brown color case with black color velvet inner side and eggplant color silk fabric top (see pics, please).

MEASURES:   The widest part at the top of the ring measures 12.50mm. The band of the ring measures 3mm wide
