ORIGINAL ANTIQUE OMEGA TRANSITION (from pocket to wrist, so these were the very first wrist watches made) WATCH, ENAMEL DIAL Circa 1914-1915
DIAL: Original beautiful white color enamel (porcelain) dial with black color arabig numbers. 24H numbers in red color (see pics, please).
Dial is signed OMEGA at twelve. Subseconds dial placed at six.
Original gold tone hands. Dial is in excellent conditions, no dings, cracs or hairlines anywhere, please refer to the pictures.
CASE: original steel (white metal) pocket watch case with HINGED back cover AND "dust" cover (see pics, please). Back cover is fully numbered and signed by OMEGA WATCH Co. Dust cover shows the same reference number than the main cover. Fixed spring lugs. Please, refer to the pictures.
MOVEMENT: original mechanical with MANUAL winding movement, fully signed & numbered by OMEGA WATCH Co. It is a rare Omega Caliber 28 (it measures 28mm diameter).
WORKING ORDER: Yes, it is in runnig conditions (not checked for accuracy).
MEASURES: the watch measures 35.50mm diameter, not including its winding crown or hanging ring.
ESTIMATED AGE: circa 1914-1915 (datation is based on its serial number engraved on the movement)
BRACELET/STRAP: rare early "holding" artifact, collapsible, especially designed to be able to wear a small pocket watch attached to the wrist instead of the classical pocket watch chain. This artifact is signed with two marks: PAT.ANG and KJAC. It allows to safely hold a pocket watch and to attach it to the wrist with a rope and a snap clasp. Please refer to the pictures.
