GORGEOUS HAND CARVED SCULPTURE, SKULL WITH OCTOPUS, ORIENTAN HAN CARVED ART, PROBABLY BALI, CIRCA 1960
 
presented here, a rare and gorgeous hand carved sculpture depicting a human sKull in which a very realistic octopus seems to have found its home. The human skull is also extremely well carved and at its bottom can be appreciated the characteristic structure of natural bone, probably yak bone (see pictures, please). Its color is  very simmilar to the ivory one. The artist has considered the natural color-tone variations of the bone to the benefit the carved design.
