Presented for your consideration, an exquisite 18K gold pendant from Victorian period, circa 1850. This piece of art is masterfully decorated with a total of twelve (12) natural tiny pearls. Nine (9) of these natural tiny white pearls (1mm diameter, each) are decorating the intrincate English style gold letters over the oval black onyx stone which is set in a robust ornated gold bezel over a elaborated chiselled openwork. We believe these two capital letters are N and A. The other three pearls (3mm diameter, each) are set in lobulated chatons at the top and bottom of the central motif (see pictures, please). Its beautiful hanging ring is also decorated with a black enamel calibrated design.

The back side of the medalion has an oval cover which allows a portrait, a small relic or hair from the deceased loved one, to be stored in.

This is an exquisite example of Mourning Jewellery piece the first half of the 19th Century, in remarkable very good conditions.

Please, refer to the pictures, they speak by themselves.
