4196 ORIGINAL 18K GOLD, ENAMEL AND DIAMOND CHIPS POCKET WATCH, GENÈVE, circa 1870
DIAL: original white color enamel dial (porcelain) over a concave metal base. Dial has stylized roman numbers in black enamel. Dial is in very good conditions, looks very good at naked eye, it only has a ding at six o'clock and a soft hairline near ten o'clock. (see pics, please)
CASE: original 18K gold LEPINE case, decorated at its hinged back cover with exquisite imperial blue color enamel five-pointed-stars and a floral bouquet which has a total of seven (7) natural diamond chips (old-rose cut) measuring 1.5-2mm diamenter, each. At the top of the blue enamel oval there is also ann engraved beautiful tiny butterfly (see pics, please). Its hinged dust cover reads: COMPTOIR D'HOROLOGERIE, GENÈVE, CYLINDER DIX RUBIE, Nº4505. Both covers are numbered & hallmarked 18K.
MOVEMENT: original mechanical with manual winding movement, CYLINDER escapement. It comes with a vintage key wich will allow both, winding up the movement and setting time.
WORKING ORDER: yes, it in running conditions.
MEASURES: 30mm diameter not including winding crown or ring.
ESTIMATED AGE: circa 1860.
CONDITION: Very good general used condition (please refer to pictures)
